Here are some links to sites offering music fonts that can be used with Finale®. In some cases these fonts replace those offered with Finale®; in other cases they complement them, offering additional symbols and/or characters. Please don't forget to have a look at the
fonts we have developed, some for standard use, others for specialized music-setting.

Really Loud fonts by Arun Konanur. A series of high quality Postscript fonts: Tempi, Thesis, Metric, Barnett, Lassus, Musica and Partita.

MIDI DESIGN

Midi Design by Christian Texier. Acoustica, Concreta, Controla, Electronica, Microtona and Sonora: six free fonts designed for contemporary music.

Finale font solutions by Ansgar Krause. A site offering a number of highly specialized music fonts for setting baroque ornamentations, figured basses, guitar or lute tablature, etc. One of the best collections of music fonts on the market.

NOVEMBER

November by Klemm Technologies offers a very stylish font to replace Maestro (or Petrucci). It includes a wide variety of symbols from renaissance style through to contemporary music notation.

Toccata and Fughetta by Blake Hodgetts. An excellent pair of music fonts available in Postscript or Truetype for both Mac and PC. Unfortunately the design is based on Petrucci, now abandoned by Coda Technology.

TOCCATA & FUGHETTA

Caltabiano propose three musical fonts: Sicilian Numbers, for engraving chords; Ghent Percussion, with the main pictograms for percussion; and Rehearsal Letters.

DVM PUBLICATIONS

DVM Publications offer two fonts: KidNotes, for learners; and Metronome for tempo markings.

Salzedo Harp Font by Bill Duncan, based on Carlos Salzedo's standard harp notation, complemented by a selection of curves and wavy lines, brackets, pedals and other symbols. This site also offers a useful font for presenting chords elegantly, based on Verdana.
